Kaua'i Hoe Wa'a Race 2
Results by overall/age division are posted. Mahalo to everyone who came out today. I think that was a record group of 81 paddlers! A lot of short course paddlers stepped up to the long course. Way to go! Go to www.kauaihoewaa.com to see today's results and pictures.
Big thanks to Wes for leaving before the race started to get to the finish and take pictures. Thanks again to Dexter for escorting the race and saving Suzy the "warrior" Olson and her hurricane. Thanks again to Emiko and Linda for timing the race. I don't know how they do it. Thanks to John, Beth, Laola, Mike, and anybody that braved registration today. Thanks to Mark for setting up a potential north shore race...maybe next time. Thanks to Budlight fo the beverages and Subway for helping us out last minute. I am especially gonna miss my training partner Hipo! Good luck in Seattle!
Next race 3 weeks...Port Allen to Waimea. See you there. Let's go for 100 paddlers!

Short course people,
My time was almost exactly 0:55:00. So add or subtract as necessary to get your times.

For the record,
I am not hiding out on the short course this year. I was pretty sick the whole week before and wasn't sure I was even going to race until I woke up on Sunday. Even then I planned to just cruise.
But then the race started. Ms. Anderson and I were going back and forth almost the whole way. I couldn't help it. She was my rabbit.
