Race course :

KAPAA BEACH PARK TO SALT POND.
Start : Kapaa beach park to Hanamaula beach park
2nd leg: Hanamaula beach park to Kalapaki beach
3rd leg: Kalapaki beach to Poipu beach park
4th leg: Poipu beach park to Salt pond

We have added a SUP relay course
Start: Kalapaki beach to Poipu beach park
2nd leg : Poipu beach to Sat Pond

Come an join us on our beautiful Island of Kauai on May 9th for the Kauai World Challenge Relay. We will have a fun run on May 7th Poipu Beach Park to Saltpond. That's the 4th leg of the Kauai World Challenge. After party at the Kauai Beer Company. Registration, packet, pre race dinner , race meeting an expo on May 8th 3pm-6pm at the Niumalu Canoe club hale at Kalapaki beach. Event Description: 

There are two race starts. The first start is at 8:00am for all OC-1 wahine, OC-1 Kane +121, OC-1 mix, 4 person relay teams, and OC-2 wahine teams. The second start is at 8:30am for everyone else. If you are in the first start your canoe number with start with the number one. If you are in the second start your canoe number will start with the number two. Race fee $100 per person. 4 person teams only $50 per person. Prices increase by $25 after May 1st.
SUP Course is 4th leg only Poipu Beach to Salt Pond start time 12:00PM $50 race fee
The race begins at Kapa’a Beach Park. The first transition is at Hanamaulu Beach Park. Second transition is Kalapaki Bay. Third transition is Poipu Beach Park and the finish is at Salt Pond.

OC-1 Under 40, 41-60, 61-80, 81-100, 101-120, 121-125, 126-130, 131-136, 137 plus. OC-2 Under 160 and Over 160. Category is determined based on the sum of all ages for each team member on race day.

Kauai Hoe Wa'a Island Championships.

Congrats to all of the paddlers that came out to race the Island Championships. Conditions were Epic! Record breaking times were set. Bobby Pratt of Oahu took winning honors this day with Makana Denton, Luke Evslin an Mark Fraizer hot on his trail. Come an join us for our Kauai World Challenge on May 3rd. Sponsored by Kuhio Auto Group, Kamanu Composits, Pure Paddles an Canoes, YMCA, Kauai Hoe Wa'a an many more...Its a coastal relay from Kapa'a Beach Park to Saltpond beach park. You can have teams of 2 paddlers or 4. Pre race dinner at registration on Friday. Then Sat Dinner, beverages an entertainment after the race. We will giving out Prize $ an goodies.
