KOLOA PLANTATION DAYS PADDLE FEST, POIPU KAUAI, Sunday, July 19, 2009
Outrigger canoe & paddle board races, food, and public activities at Poipu Beach Park, 10am – 2pm.
Long course race: OC-1 (one-man), OC-2 (two-man), OC-6 (six-person crew) and expert paddle board races start at Kalapaki Beach at 10am, arrive in Poipu at approx. 11:30am -12:00 noon. 12 miles.
Short course race: Standup Paddle Board and Paddle Board races start at 11:00am from Poipu Beach Park to Kukui’ula Harbor. 2.5 miles.
Food, refreshments, awards and prizes plus outrigger canoe displays, demonstrations & activities for the public. Event sponsors include Steinlager, Hawaiian Optics, C-4 Waterman and Koloa Rum Co.
