The World Paddle Expo

What:

• A big event bringing together the paddling OHANA!
• 200m racing in FIVE paddle sports: KAYAK, SURFSKI, OUTRIGGERS,PADDLE BOARDS & STANDUP PADDLING!
• Community Expo: Vendor, club and giveaway tents.
• Fun family activities, jumping castles etc for the families and keiki.

Why:

• HCKT’s Mission statement:
“To make a positive contribution to the Hawaiian community through paddle sports whilst taking the Hawaiian culture to the World. We provide a nurturing system for paddlers to learn, earn & return in all paddle sports for all levels. We strive to provide our Hawai'i athletes with the opportunity to participate in and bring attention to Hawai'i in national, international, and Olympic competitions.”
• This event will help support HCKT ( Hawaii Canoe and Kayak Team) to give our youth a positive pathway in sport, personal development and life skills as well as supporting Hawaiian Charities.
• It will bring the paddling communities together to share knowledge and resources and grow.
• There is the opportunity for event sponsorships with prizes, cash and giveaways.
• Benefits will include exposure and advertising in several different ways.

Who:

• This year is the first ever event and will be a developing annual event. We are expecting at least 250 participants as well as families, supporters, vendors and public at the event.
• We will have top elite paddlers right through to the developing novice and junior paddlers. There will be junior, open, elite and abled body divisions in men’s and women’s categories
