First Generation Malia Mold hull for Sale

Item Description:

CANOE HULL ONLY

Maximize your coaching efficiency and effectiveness with the perfect boat for coaching technique, practicing water changes, and herding multiple canoes in a single practice session.

First Generation Malia Mold hull converted to “coaching” boat or sailing canoe:

· Built in 2004. Very good condition!

· Extended Manus (eliminating seats 1 and 6) for extra flotation.

· “False Floor” 4 inches above bottom of hull for extra flotation.

· Left side glassed motor mount.

· Standard wae spacing (to accommodate modern ‘iako and ama set ups).

· Glassed handholds and oversized splash guard.

· Handy shelf built in under driver’s seat.

Using a 6 hp outboard, can reach speeds of up to 12 mph with three persons on board.

Throws virtually no wake, so running with canoes to coach is not disruptive.

Uses standard OC-6 ama-'iako set-up, or use 4X4's for extra stability.

Paddler Looking for Open Seat in Molokai Hoe 2010

Looking for seat in open crew for Molokai Hoe 2010.

Age: 35
Height: 5'-11"
Weight: 195 lb.
Club: Kamehameha; Honolulu, HI

Race Preparation:

3 OC-6 practices per week.
2 weekday practices. Workouts consist of 10 minute and 20 minute pieces, and last for at least 2 hours.

On Saturday mornings, intense practices with the 3.0 - 3.5 hours total paddling time.

I paddle most in the #3, #4, and #5 seats since I'm a "power guy". I have paddled occasionally in seats #1 and #2 and would be okay with these in calmer waters.
