Coming to Hawaii - Looking to paddle

Hi Everyone,
I'm heading to Oahu for work 3-13 Jul and 7-13 Aug and I was hoping to get some paddling in. I'll be staying in Waikiki. Any suggestions would be great. It will be nice to paddle in some warmer weather then what we get here in Victoria, BC.

Sunset to Haleiwa (8 miles)
OC-1, OC-2, Surfski, SUP divisions
Entry: $30 per person

T-shirt, Food, Refreshments, and Entertainment to follow, including the "Manulympics" OC1/SUP/Swim relay!

Registration is from 7:30am to 10am at the Manu halau (behind Surf N Sea in Haleiwa): http://goo.gl/maps/Fq40

SUP race starts at 11am, everyone else at 11:10am.

We will have a shuttle to take your board/canoe up to Sunset beach, if needed.

Open class for HCRA distance season?

Are any of this season's distance races going to have an open division? (Duke, Dads Center, Henry, E Lau Hoe, etc..) I thought last year Duke was going to have an open division. It's only 20ish miles, it should have an iron open division.
