Just a quick reminder about the first race of the 2011/2012 Winter Series.
CCK welcomes us back to their site for one of the more enjoyable races of the Series out at Half Moon Bay. Always some interesting conditions and never the same, make sure to mark your calendars! http://wavechaser.com/event-info/schedule/half-moon-baycck-oct-29th-2011/
We’ll offer two courses, short and a long course, roughly 5 and 10 miles. Course will be decided on race day depending on conditions for the day. We’ll also have offer a SUP course during the short course at 10:00.
We are changing up our registration a bit and letting paddlers race twice for 30.00. Only 5.00 for the second race of the day. We might have a couple of other changes coming up, so try to make it to the first race to qualify for some overall awards we’ll be handing out.
Hope to see you on the water out at Half Moon Bay!
2 races one day.
The morning is dedicated to a 4 mile short course for oc1, oc2, surfksi, double surfksi, kayaks, SUP’s and paddleboarders.
The afternoon is for oc1, oc2, surfskis, double surfksi’s and kayaks (NO SUP or paddleboards at this time)
Entry fee is $25 and includes a t-shirt for the first 150 registered.. (watch for on line registration TBA soon) lunch and awards for specified divisions (TBA).
If you want to race 2x (both morning and afternoon races), the entry fee is $30. (only one tshirt and lunch tho)
I've got a really nice Kia Kaha blade for sale that I bought directly from Maui Kjeldsen.
The blade (9.5") has a blue/green tint to it, has a really smooth catch and is outfitted with a carbon T-handle. I used it for one iron season (6 races). It looks exactly like the paddle 2nd from the left in the attached image.
I can ship to the continental US, Hawai'i and Canada. (Shipping will be added to the listed price)
The second annual Another Dam Race will run on Saturday, November 5th. An 11 mile downriver course on the Colorado River starting just below Parker Dam and finishing at the Blue Water Resort and Casino in Parker, AZ. Classes for OC1, OC2, OC6, skis, sup, rec, etc. Tons of schwag, all night beach party after the race, great racer's raffle, trophy steins from Mudshark Brewing, and fantastic Arizona weather.
We have several OutriggerConnection Ospreys in stock. Great canoe for paddlers 185lbs or less.
