A waterproof Garmin

For those who currently train with a Garmin HRM, they are coming out with a waterproof upgrade version of the popular Forerunner 305 called 310XT that will be waterproof up to 50 meters.

Its supposed to be out in July 2009 but it costs a bunch too!

Calling all commercial boat builders ...

Koacanoe just touched on a pet peeve of mine ..... You got this great new boat, board, etc. why not show it off ??? After all, the real definition is in the hull, not the recessesed bunjis on the aft deck yeah ?

I say put all your models up between two ladders, shoot each one from the same position, show them all on the website in the same scale and do the same thing for the bottom contours wth descriptions beyond ... " Good upwind and downwind for all paddlers, beginer to expert."

THIS would really help people come to understanding on the differences between the models. If you TRUELY have something good, the better educated the consumer, the better off you, as a manufacturer are and stand to gain.

I guess if you already have more than you can deal with, none of the above matters if you are only thinking numbers instead of humans.

So how 'bout it guys ... Some pics of the real heart of the boats ?

Guys = All OC, surfski, kayak, canoe, paddleboard and SUP builders.

Stepping off soapbox.
Most sincerely,
pog

Trying to fix my canoe

Aloha everyone,

I am new member of this site and I have read some of the posts on or about canoes and their various problems. The people responding to these posts sounded very knowledgeable and also very helpful so I thought that I might ask for some help on my current problem, so here goes.

I recently purchased a oc-1(Kamahi) I do not know when it was made, but I do know that I am now the 4th owner and the owner prior to me had it for 2 years. When I bought the canoe it had some chipping and unknown to me a crack behind the seat well. I am assuming this is why it started to develop large and small bubbles along the side of the hull and even some parts of the top and bottom. I dont have a lot of money to be taking it to a pro so I am doing the repairs myself. I started to sand down the canoe making sure I don't sand down too far into, what I believe is, the carbon fiber hull. I know this is a little late to be asking but, was this the right thing to do? If I am doing the right thing should I make sure I get every bubble? The bubbles do have water in them. Also I dont really know what the next steps are that I should take. Any kokua on this would be greatly appreciated.

June Trailer haul from Cali to NJ

Driving from California/Las Vegas to NJ in Mid-late June with an empty 40' open flatbed trailer. Got room for OCs or other equipment IF they are properly prepped for transport. Not bonded - but I should be able to save you money on shipping as I'm looking to defray my travel costs. Got limited room if you needed something moved from NJ to Las Vegas/Cali in early June.
