OC-1 Training Plan

Anyone have some good ideas for a thorough OC-1 training plan? I can usually get water time but need to organize a training plan that will have me in shape for the OC-1 season. I have some ideas already but would be glad to hear from those who have some tried and tested training tips.

I can usually hammer away fine in the flat but need to work on my surfing skills. Any tips on surfing would be appreciated as well.

G'day I used to Outrig in Noosa Queensland Australia and would love to find a team here in Diego...I am in the Masters age group.

info on paddles

i'm just getting into stand up surfing and i'm looking for the right paddle for my needs. i'm 5'10". 220 lbs. i'm wide shouldered and a fairly strong paddler and i live in rincon puerto rico. the waves get powerful here and i'll be using a 12ft x 25" velilla tandem board for starts. i don't think i need to worry about ease of travelling with it so i'd prefer a solid 1 pc. model. and carbon seems the way to go. any brands are considered the strongest, best prices etc?? best height, width. what about the weight? i dig heavy boards in general. does that translate to paddles too?

any knowledge is well received knowledge.

gracias,
