May 9 2009 1:30 pm
Etc/GMT-10
Event Description:

The 10th annual pre-season Kala'iomalulani Canoe Race will be another pre-season teaser. The 2008 race was a success and we're predicting the same in 2009. The Long Course will start in Kailua and finish at He'eia Kea Pier. The Short Course will start at He'eia Kea Pier, will continue to Kualoa and back into Kahalu'u Pier (weather permitting for both courses). The short course will be for the womens, juniors and mixed crews. Don't forget the "'Ono" food Keahiakahoe is know for. We would like to extend an open vitation to all canoe clubs who may be interested in taking part in this highly competitive race.

We will invite all clubs to bring down the juniors in their clubs to join in the Keiki Race to be held at the Keahiakahoe Canoe Club race site. Registration is a small $30 per crew and also includes awards and lunch.

* Parking - The Harbor Master a He'eia Kea Pier will not be permitting any parking of vehicles in trailer stalls that do not have a trailer attached to them. HPD will be on site to ticket violators! Parking in Kahalu'u will be up Waihe'e Road. Signs will be posted.
