safe waters for hawaii needs some help. they are asking that we email senators hee and tokuda to ask them to allow a hearing on increasing fines and penalties on shark feeding in hawaii waters. and to enforce the laws already in effect.

We had some issues with DLNR regarding the water permit for Kailua - Kualoa. So we defaulted the race back to
Hawaii Kai - Sand Island. Now, all of the sudden, the Coast Guard says we cannot cross the mouth of Honolulu Harbor! We are working on an alternative plan with the same start locations, but until we know the final decision tomorrow (Friday) from the Coast Guard, we cannot confirm yet the finish. I'll post again tomorrow so stand by.

there is a rally this saturday 2/20 from 10:00-12:00 at haleiwa harbor to bring awareness to the community about the shark feeding tours going on outside haleiwa. we did such a good job on the south shore, lets all help out the north shore and have a great showing. it is still illegal to feed sharks, doesnt matter if these tours are 3 miles or 50 miles out. its a state and federal law that you can not feed sharks. but hey...no enforcement...no law !
