She comes with: ama, iakos, 8 inch weedless rudder, customized sliding track adjustable foam seat, storage compartment, self bailing cockpit with high vacuum venturies through the bottom of the hull. She has adjustable response steering system, stubby iako storage/transport system, bungee system, rudder kelp guard. Kept covered and off the ground. White hull & ama with custom red tribal flames on top deck & ama makes her Sleek & Fast. ; ) Hull about 24#. Lightweight. This ocean-worthy canoe has raced the Catalina Challenge. Price: $2400. Optimum weight (in comparison with my other canoes) would be very light paddlers and people up to 240 Lb. Really light paddlers and those under 200 pounds may find nothing faster in any water condition. She's simply unbelievable for paddlers under 190 pounds. Light paddlers under 165 will be able to handle Hawaiian style waters on their roughest day. Moderate sized paddlers between 165-200 pounds will easily handle 4ft wind chop and go zoom-zoom on flats. Paddlers above 200 pounds will race really fast in light to moderate conditions.

Searching for Advice/Equipment for purchase of used OC1 in So-Cal

Aloha,
Living in San Diego, enjoying OC6 canoe paddling, open division/co with new team,Kapolioka'ehukai Outrigger Canoe Club, but want to get OC1, used, to develop skills and earn seat 6. I'm female, 5-7, 190lbs have about 10lbs of winter fluff which causes me to wonder where to start. Finding paddling with mens team is great workout but body needs to have more time in ocean for conditioning and SUP not the same. Any advice appreciated or deals to be made. Youth Ministry and US Navy spouse limits my disposable income.
