Looking for some advice on repaint/repair some peeling paint on a 4-5 yr old Peg.

Paint's peeling off on the right gunwale, inside of foot well about 2 inches from the top of the gunwale, in about a 6 by 1 inch patch. I cna provide pictures later if that will help.

It is revealing the black fiberglass/carbon fiber? surface below and the surrounding paint is prone to peel as well.

Previous owner put duct tape over it and called it a day. I'm looking for something a little more permanent.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

When refinishing the wooden `iako of a V-6, how much does the brand/model of varnish matter in terms of durability under sunlight/UV exposure (in terms of how long the varnish lasts before needing refinishing)?

I.e. is the varnish at the boat shop (Sikkens, Petit Flagship, Epifanes) significantly more durable than the varnish at the hardware store (Man O' War, Varathane, Minwax)? The brands/models of varnish at the boat shop are significantly more expensive, but would be worth it if they actually do last longer between refinishing.

A buddy of mine had his Paddleboard stolen from the community racks in Marina del Rey between Monday and today. The thieves cut through two cable locks.

Please be on the lookout for a 12ft. Bark CT prone board. It is red and orange with an orange Bark logo, blue carbon fiber rails, a Gerry Lopez carbon fiber fin, and Coastal Eddie double bottle cages. It was in a Midnight Products board bag.
