Hui Nalu Canoe Club sponsors this race in honor of one of Hawaii's and Hui Nalu's finest waterman Kala Kukea.

Date: Saturday April 23, 2011

Registration: 6:30-8:30 At the Bathhouse
Start Times:
Keiki Korse is 8:30
Long and Short 10:00

Cost: $27 adults/$15 under 18

Course: Long- Makai Pier to Maunalua Bay
Short- Portlock Pt.- Niu Valley- Maunalua Bay
Keiki Korse- Triangle around Portlock Ages 12-15

All Categories: OC1, V1, SUP, Paddleboard, (6 man short only)

Canoe-building tools stolen

Thieves recently stole thousands of dollars worth of tools and equipment that are used to teach Hawaii children the art of building koa canoes and making their own canoe paddles at Heeia State Park.
