DLNR

If your race fees on o'ahu go up and you're thinking about grumbing to the race organizers, remember this..........DLNR officials now have to be present at all races to the tune of $1,500.00 per race. If I understand this correctly, the channels affected are HK, Magic and Keehi. Just heard this on KHON 6:00pm news. I guess all the commercial enterprises who use these channels rule. Please correct me if I am misinformed.

Summer Paddling

I am interested in paddling for the summer season (2010). I was interested in a few clubs. For Hui Lanakila Canoe Club, how would I join it? since there is no website for the club.

wooden gillespie paddle

Item Description: 

50" shaft, but the blade itself is extended and has the reach of a 52"!
(i.e it is 52" from tip of blade to top handle)
nice sold paddle, good for beginners looking for that extra reach but not want the extra long shaft due to arm length or comfort. have used her to steer on occasion when didn't have a blade.
upgraded paddle so don't need her anymore.
from picture, can't tell but it has a slight bend at top, but not considered a double bend by any means

Wondering if anyone has (or is) organizing a trailer from Honolulu to Maui for the Maui to Molo race. I have at least three paddlers that are interested!
