Divisions & Crafts

All crafts and divisions as per Kanaka Ikaika standards.
• Long Course: Makai Pier to a turn mark c. 1 mile off Makapuu pt., then to the Keyhole at Hawaii Kai. Open to Surfski, OC-1, V-1, OC-2, SS-2, OC-6 and OC-3.
• Short Course: Makai Pier to Hawaii Kai Keyhole. Open to Surfski, OC-1, V-1, SUP (12’6”, 14’, unlimited), Prone (12’ stock and unlimited), OC-2, SS-2, OC-6 and OC-3

Cost, Registration and Start time:

• Pre-register at www.flpregister.com for $30.00 per individual paddler or doubles, $150.00 for OC-6 teams and $84.00 for OC-3 until midnight May 09, or register at Foti’s Paddle shop in Kapaa Quarry.
o $22.00 for paid and registered paddlers in the Maui Jim Molokai Challenge and Surfski World Championship on May 18.
• Late/race day registration per paddler: $35.00 ($180.00 for OC-6 and $99.00 for OC-3)
• Registration and check in: 7:30-9:00 a.m. at Makai Pier.
• Start: 10:00 a.m.
• Post Race lunch and awards: immediately following at the Maunalua Bay Beach Park (near the boat ramp)

2nd annual canoe race May 3, 2014 at 9am, Sand Island. Proceeds benefiting Mokauea Island. Divisions include: OC-6 Iron, Mix, Men, Women, Junior, Koa, Malia, Double Hull, 70’s (avg age) and Adaptive Divisions. Good cause, good workout, good food & good fun !! Format: OC-6 Iron (Races will be run by age-groups, not gender)
Date: Sunday, July 27, 2014 (Pre-registration: Saturday 26, 2014 from 2:00pm- 5:00pm at Keehi Lagoon Halau)
Time: First Crews (60’s) Start 9:00 a.m. Second Heat (55’s and 50’s) start 10 minutes later. Third Heat (40s and Open) start 10 minutes after that. Cost: $300 per crew (pre-registration) $360 day of race/ Payment with credit card +3% user fee (Entry includes lunch with Vegetarian Options, entertainment, beer garden (must be 21+), non alcoholic drinks, door prizes, medals, and trophies) After
party at the Veterans Hall.
Trophy to first crew in each category (Men, Women, Mixed) crossing the finish line (regardless of age group). Medals to first three finishers in each category.
Coaches Meeting at 8:30 am. HCRA Waiver required for all participants.

*PRE REGISTRATION COST: $40.00 adult, $25.00 Junior, $99.00 OC-3 and $180.00 OC-6. Pre-registration closes midnight March 28. But if you don’t register by midnight on Wednesday March 26, you are not guaranteed a T shirt and slippers.

*RACE MORNING CHECK IN AND LATE REGISTRATION: at Hawaii Kai from 7:00 – 8:30 am. Late Registration race
morning is $50.00 adult, $35.00 Junior, , and there is no guarantee for a race shirt and Scott slippers.

- Long: Makai Pier, AROUND Rabbit Island, AROUND Diamond Head Buoy to Duke’s Beach by Anuenue’s paddling site – 20 miles
- Short: Hawaii Kai, AROUND Diamond Head Buoy to Duke’s Beach by Anuenue’s paddling site – 12 miles

• 5 minute penalty for false start
Maui Jim’s Waterman's series (the OC-1 discipline), The hotspot will be Makapu’u point. Prizes are as follows:
1st place hotspot – (Makapuu point): $70 men / $70 women
1st place overall: $90 men / $90 women. Plus – Maui Jim sunglasses 2nd place overall: $70 men / $70 women
3rd place overall: $50 men / $50 women
