Pinky’s and Planet Sun Skin Cancer Awareness Race
Scott Hawaii Gold Challenge Series #1
The Scott Hawaii Gold Challenge is a series within the Poai Puni racing series. For OC-1 long course only. It is a 3 race series: Race #5 (Pinky's & Planet Sun), #7 (Oahu Championship) and #8 (Scott Hawaii State Championship). Races #5 and 7 will count for 25% each and race #8 will count double (50%). The prizes for the winners of the entire 3 race series are:
1st overall any gender: $50.00 GOLD American Eagle coin = 1 ounce of gold
2nd overall any gender: $25.00 GOLD American Eagle coin = 1/2 ounce of gold
3rd overall any gender: $10.00 GOLD American Eagle coin = 1/4 ounce of gold
- Sunday February 23, 2014. 10:00 a.m. start
- Pre-registration: $28.00 at Foti Paddlesports store in Kapaa Quarry until Fri. Feb. 21, or $30.00 online at www.flpregister.com until midnight Feb. 22.
- Late registration on race day: $35.00
- Race day check in at Pinky’s Pupu Bar and Grill: 7:00AM-9:00AM
Divisions: OC-6, OC-3, OC-2, OC-1, Surfski, SUP, Prone paddleboard, V-1
Long Course: 12 Miles. Start at Pinky's, right turn at Mokolea Rock (Bird S. isle), counterclockwise around Mokulua islands and end at Pinky's. Subject to change weather pending
Short course: 6 Miles. Pinky's to Flat Isle., out ¾ mile, turn on a buoy and back to Pinky’s . Subject to change weather pending.
