Aloha! Come on out to our annual fundraiser party at Gordon Biersch the weekend after states! Saturday August 10th from 6pm - 12:30am! Our party is always a blast with great live music, free food, drink specials and tons of prizes and give-a-ways! We have the whole patio at Gordon Biersch at Aloha Tower reserved for our party!

You must purchase $10 tickets ahead of time. You can purchase at the Waikiki Beach Boy tent at the Hui Wa'a champs on Saturday August 20 at Keehi Lagoon or by calling/texting 808-253-9522.

Kailua Beach CleanUp Race UPDATE!!!!

Kanaka Ikaika has decided that the Kailua Beach Cleanup race should be a community service event, hence, we have changed the race to be a FREE keiki/Junior race starting at 9:00am followed by a group paddle for adults (no fee) in Kailua Bay lead by Jim Foti. We will have a short and a long kids race (longer than the posted course - weather pending the actual route).

durability of an oc1

Aloha everyone, I am thinking about buying an OC1. I'm 6'3" 230lbs. I can swim a few miles, I'm just not a big fan of open ocean swimming, so durability is more important than weight. After all it's a lot cheaper for me to loose 5lbs than an OC1. Are there any brands that I want to steer clear of? Whats the best bang for the buck? Should I steae clear of used boats? How many seasons can you expect out of an OC1? Mahalo

Broaching on wave

This is the best piece I've ever read on broaching. Just think a canoe not only has to move hull but also an ama.

If you look at video, notice the front of ski uses a spray deflector instead of a cover like JP's new canoe. Anyone know why or what works better.
