New PA'A Junior Paddling Team

Goal: Build a competitive PA'A youth team that will race in the PA’A ‘Eono Hoe and other eligible six-man canoe races.

Ages: 14-17 (could change to include ages up to 19)

Youth paddlers will be selected based on the following criteria:

1) Overall performance based on a point system determined by results in five PA’A races: 1) Holiday Burnoff, 2) Pinky’s Race, 3) Pdl2day & Luv 2morrow, 4) Koa Nui. All youth should also set the goal of paddling in the Molokai Solo.
2) Feedback from coaches and mentors regarding paddlers’ ability and skills.

side affects of not rinsing out my hurricane After paddling?

so i just got my own oc-1 hurricane, A bit of a beater but its water tight and floats so its good enough for me. ANYWAYS! i usually tend to paddle out of lanikai or areas where theirs no hose readily available. to add to it, i store my boat at A storage place over here that also doesnt have a hose since where i live theirs no room to store my boat and i dont feel safe having it in kalihi anyways....

Double Bends?

I hear its bad to paddle with a double bend when everyone else in the boat has a straight shaft? is that true?
