The Spring Break clinics are scheduled every year in March. Multiple instructors will be on hand so this clinic is suitable for all range of paddling ability. The clinic will analyze your technique and bracing ability to ensure you are prepared to have some fun and scenic wave riding runs. We will tailor the clinic to include topics that registered paddlers would like to cover.

The finish of tomorrow's KIRA race will be at the Kaneohe end of Kailua Beach Park. Behind Kalapawai Market. The parking lot by the canoe halau is still under construction. FYI....

Note that the new age brackets for Kanaka Ikaika races start at 57. Age groups are:
Junior (18 and under), 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-56, 57-63, 64-69, and 70+

Couple things on the V-1 division for tomorrow's race: Your finish in the V-1 will apply towards your OC-1 Poai Puni point standings.

If you have a V-1, tomorrow is the day to bust it out. Let's all line up on the V-1 and show what you got! Prize money for top 3 and Maui Jim glasses for the winner - both male and female

Ordering a new boat. Leaning towards one color for hull and deck. Either RAL color 7001 Silver Gray or Medium Gray E7 from Lilyram.com, . I'd like a bright solid color on the AMA. Past boats has always been white.

After several years of talk, the Gorge Downwind Paddling festival is finally going to happen! Timed to happen the week after the Gorge Outrigger races in the same area, one can conceivably do 4 races in 8 days.

The race is being put on mainly by surfski paddlers, with many of the world's best expected to show up. They'd like to also get the best OC paddlers and make this a truly world class event. Large cash prizes are being offered.

There is a 3 day window for the main downwind race, which will almost guarantee good downwind conditions.
