Open Female Paddler from Big Island seeks crew for Maui Nui 2014. Can sit seats 1-5.

Raced open division for both regatta and most of long distance season in Kona before moving to Oahu recently. Joined local canoe club training for the channel but they already have their 9 men set. I am in shape, a 5x Ironman triathlon finisher, can paddle 1-5, mentally/physically prepared for the race, and would be a good addition to any crew looking to be competitive.

My name is Michael Baranowski & I paddle with the Tamalpais Outrigger Canoe Club in Sausalito, California. I’m travelling to Maui for vacation (Sept 27th thru October 10th). I’m an experienced Sr. Master paddler hoping to arrange a seat for a workout or two or three while on Maui, preferably near Lahaina.

I do not want to disrupt practice or take a seat from somebody. However, if you have a seat available, I’d welcome the chance to paddle with you. Naturally, I’d be more than happy to offer a donation to your club for the opportunity.

My daughter filled in with a Washington State 16 under teen crew Sunday in Kona. Another Big Isle girl did also, they won gold! I have the Big Isle girl medal trying to find who she is.
