Molokai Entry Forms

Aloha from Canada,
Our men's crew - Vancouver Island Va'a is planning on participating in this years Moloka'i Hoe (for the first time). We have been watching the website for updates to the entry forms etc, but for some reason, none of the links work. Is there another website out there that we can download all the required forms?

Experienced Paddler looking to join crew for Napali Challenge

Aloha,

I would love to race in the Napali Challenge on Kauai! If you are in need of another male paddler please respond to this post or send me an email.

I can sit seats 1,2,3,5 and 6 if its not big water, and I have a positive, team oriented attitude. I would be coming over from Maui.

Mahalo!

Foot straps in one man canoes.

What is the reason for one man canoes not having foot straps like skiis? Now days canoes are designed with the paddler sitting lower than ever. Why not add foot straps and lock the paddler in?

2nd Annual Race Around the Hat

Aloha gang,

Just wanted to get the word out early for this year's edition of the Race Around the Hat. Registration will be up shortly and we are excited to have some excellent sponsors onboard. Kialoa was nice enough to provide with paddles to give away, Maoli Wa'a also provided paddles and clothing, Broad Reach Paddles will be providing give paddles as well. Island Paddler will also be there with prizes. As always Ocean Paddler TV will be there to document the event.

Hawaii,Time to help one of your own.

Some of you will already know that Emilie Janchevis has been training hard to go to Tahiti next month and represent Hawaii in the super Aito Vahine race next month.
She has previously had great results in the V1 and is expected to perform well again,BUT she is having trouble covering all the expenses.
She is too humble to ask here herself so
Surely we can all help,She is a great prospect to sponsor for any local company or organization Does anyone have any contacts at Hawaiian Air?
Let's start fundraising and send her down there to compete at the highest level.

High fat diet

I've heard a diet rich in fats would aid endurance events.First teach your body to burn fat as fuel then provide it all the fat it can handle. My favorite prerace meal is steak cooked in bacon grease,eggs,2 cups of strong cowboy coffee served in a tin cup,and a couple of candy bars as desert.Any thoughts?
