Lost Paddles.....
Our escort boat had a rough ride back from Oahu to Maui yesterday after completing the Moloka'i Hoe with Napili Canoe Club and lost our paddlers paddles. They were in a blue netted/mesh type of bag. If anyone comes across this bag of paddles please call 218-9178.

Dropped Makana Alii paddle in middle of Ka'iwi Channel during Molokai Hoe race. The paddle is a 51 with red trims and has name writting on the handle.

The new and long awaited Pe'a from Papu Williams will be at next weekends "I Remember You " race at Aina Moana. Demo rides will be available to those interested, preliminary runs have proven the va'a to be slick and agile. Call Papu at (808)937-0396 for more info. Carbon layup has resulted in a 20 lb. va'a for the weight minded, va'a will support up to 230 lb. paddler.

Had a chance to talk story with Manutea who was rumored to be steering Shell this year. Not! Non-committal about where he might be on race day.

Gist of his talk about the race was that as we heard, all the heavyweights will be racing including OPT A & B, Shell, EDT , Paddling Connection and Bora-Bora. Sounded like he favored OPT altho said Shell has a "special" canoe.

All the makings of a great race, and Team Primo definitely has their work cut out.
