Thunderstorm SOP

Any club have a standard thunderstorm standard operating procedure? On the West Coast they really don't know what thunderstorms are.

Sure don't go out in a thunderstorm, but there are times when one just whirls up on you.

Anyone ever seen a buoy that's been struck by lightning? Seems it ought to be common, but it isn't. The great fear is in the open ocean that which floats and rises above sea level will attract lightning, but...

Need a 9th man for Catalina?!

I'm paddling in Hawaii and on my way back to Australia. Created a stopover to race Catalina and haven't got a team to race with yet! I've raced Catalina a few times and have a 7th and 11th place finish under my belt in open mens with east coast teams! Plug me into your lineup! Thanks

Any North Palm Beach Paddlers?

I'm looking for information on paddlers / races in the Tequesta / Jupiter area. I currently paddle an OC-1 and 'm intersted in getting together with other paddlers and an OC-6 crew. I know Jupiter had a couple of clubs in the past, and I am told there are a couple OC-6s around, but they seemed to have died out. Any info is appreciated.
