Put this one on your calendar. Race goes from Hossegor to Hendye (Spain border). 3 stops. Tarnos/Boucau, Guethary, St Jean De Luis , finish at Hendye. OC1, OC2 relay. Great fun, super people. Accomodations in Anglet about 60 euros / nt. Surf , hike, travel before/after. Go to Kalapaki-France (google) for more info or to forum for comments. Best of luck to everyone racing Takapuna in 2 weeks time. With 27 International crews entered this year and heaps of locals, could be very interesting at the podium over the 3 days of racing. Teams from Tahiti, Hawaii, UK, Australia, Cook Is, Samoa and just about every other OC paddling nation are entered. The race organisers have done a great job of promoting this race internationally and are now reaping the benefits. Ocean Sports Media for the 4th consecutive year will again be providing video coverage of the event, see you there.

Can someone tell me my options on keeping track of my location and speed and all that when we are doing the Pailolo run? I'll have my iPhone but cellular is AT&T- which has been a problem on Molokai before. I also have a garmin, but it seems to have a problem keeping the satellite all the time. I'd love to find an app or device that would be reliable out there that will show me where I am on a map and my speed/distance. Yeah yeah smart Alec's, just look up.....but I'd like some safety net as I'm ironing it and not likely to be in the middle of the pack...........
