I'm trying to send a couple of paddles to O'ahu, but am getting mixed quotes on shipping costs. I know weight and size are all factors. If anyone has shipped paddles between Cali and O'ahu before, can you shoot me some information as to how much it was for you. I'm looking for the most reasonable way to accomplish this. I appreciate any and all information.

Good Morning !
In the last couple of weeks we did a few hard training sessions in preparing for the first race of the season in Berlin. Especially we were focused on strong leg drive. Unfortunately it seems that this focusing on leg drive led me into another painful ITBS phase (Iliotibial Band Syndrome). Actually I got into paddling after leaving several other sports because of repetitive ITBS occurrences.
Does anyone of you know what aspects of OC Paddling Technique are prone to ITBS ? Are there any experiences of other paddlers with this awful ITBS ?

I'm interested to hear from any competitive paddlers on their opinion of doing OC6 training while preparing for a major OC1 event such as the solo. Does spending 50% of your available training time in an OC6 upset your OC1 boat speed as you can maybe lose some feel in the bumps, or do you think the power and reach you maybe tend to focus on more in an OC6 actually helps your OC1 speed? Team Pineula open men and new comers Team Aus open women continue their dominance of the Takapuna Cup 42k changeover race. With over 80 waka including 27 international crews, this was the most successful Takapuna Cup ever. This year also featured a 35k Iron race and an awesome Haka at 3:20 in the video.

It is official, we will reverse the course. Registration will now be in the Elks Lodge parking lot from 6:30 - 8:30 a.m.

Course:
Long - Start at the windsock fronting Kaimana beach and Outrigger Canoe Club to Kailua Beach Park.
Short: Start at Makai Pier to Kailua Beach park (2 legs - 3 & 4)
Leg 1: Go AROUND Diamond Head Buoy, around the Blinker buoy in Hawaii Kai and 1st change is the bath house. 9.5 MILES
Leg 2: From Hawaii Kai Bath House to Makai Pier 9 MILES
