Here is the video I made of the Alcoa Mandurah Duel held in January in Western Australia. It wasn't the classic downwind race that Mandurah is famous for, rather it was overcast and flat, but it still produced some fantastic racing. The OC6s raced the day before and this video is of the Sunday race for Skis, SUPs, OC1s & OC2s.

Celebration of Life for Rick Nu'u will be on Sunday, Feb 24 on Maui

10am Ashes spread at Maliko. Paddle out with anything that floats
12pm Lunch and celebration at Hawaiian Canoe Club

We welcome everyone to paddle out as Zoe, Tiare, and Kaena spread Rick's ashes at Maliko at 10am. People can do a Maliko Run in Rick's honor after the ceremony. Then Hawaiian Canoe Club will host a lunch at the HCC hale at noon.

Aue! With great sadness and grief the tragic news of the passing of coach Rick Nu‘u reached our shores yesterday.

Rick was an inspiration to so many of us in the Hawaiian Canoe Club ‘ohana and the paddling community throughout the world. Having moved to Canada with his wife Zoe and two beautiful daughters, he maintained strong ties to Maui and to the hearts and bodies of his extended ‘ohana i Hawai‘i nei.

Coach, friend, son, husband and father, Rick gave so much to others and was loved by so many. Our hearts and aloha cross the oceans to the Nu‘u – Norcross ‘ohana.

I am offering a race shuttle for Saturday's race from Heeia Pier to Kahana Bay.

Shuttle will depart Kahana Bay @ 7:45 drop at Heeia Pier.

$20 per person. I need 10 people to run this shuttle.
