Those of you with Scorpius XMs know what I mean. The Scorpius XM has a rectangular hydration system carve-out at the front of the foam seat underneath your knees.

How have you secured a hydration system into that rectangle?

I was talking to Manny at packet pickup at the Shack and he informed me the finish for the Shabang race will be at Anuenue (not Magic Island). He will also be accepting registations for the race on race day.

I have an unusual question for the great people of Ocpaddler.

I am looking into the possibility of transporting six canoes from Los Angeles to Vancouver. Here is my dilemma:

• It's too few to justify a UHaul or Penske Truck.
• I want to only drive one way, so borrowing a trailer is out of the question.
• A rental car is ideal, but six is a lot to put across a car without racks....

Manu O Ke Kai Canoe Club is hosting their annual OC-1 race on July 28 and a new 6-man iron race (unlimited and spec divisions) on August 11. See the calendar for details.

Are any of this season's distance races going to have an open division? (Duke, Dads Center, Henry, E Lau Hoe, etc..) I thought last year Duke was going to have an open division. It's only 20ish miles, it should have an iron open division.

An awesome day on the water and Outrigger Austrailia were just flying in their new Keith Williams Kamanu canoe. The Surf Ski paddlers in the white Hamilton Island Kamanu with black tops did really well finishing 4th. Also a really great battle in the women's race right to the end. Another great paddling event in a stunning part of the world.
