I've been diabetic sense I was 17 and am relatively new to long distance paddling. I was just wondering if there is any other diabetic paddlers out there?

Aloha, does anyone know somebody who owns a sculling boat? My daughter, who has paddled for ILH and OHCRA, is interested in collegiate rowing. We just returned from a collegiate rowing camp, where the coach showed interest in her as a possible recruit. I have looked, but cannot find anyone with a sculling boat or rowing shell. I have seen guys rowing in the Ala Wai, but not lately. I would appreciate it if anyone of you knows somebody who I can contact about training for 2013 rowing season. Mahalo.

Registration for RATH 2012 is now live. Due to inflation the registration fees for this year remain exactly the same. Junior fees are $0 or $5. To paddle juniors you must have been UNDER 19 years old on January 1st. To qualify for the Novice division you must have been a Novice B this season. No exceptions.

So I am fairly new to consistent OC-1 paddling after moving from O'ahu to Portland, Oregon 2 years ago. 

I have trained on paddle boards (prone) for some years and understand the importance of a good reach and smooth technique.
My question is with respect to leg drive involved in an OC-1 stroke. I know you can get much more leg drive in an OC-6 and other open hull designs, but I was curious as to how much other paddlers focus on leg drive or even utilize it in an OC-1.

Does anyone out there know the website address for the Outrigger Canoe Club in Hiroshima, Japan?

I`m from Vancouver, BC Canada and am living in Kochi, Shikoku. I am looking for a used OC1.

I obtained this information from a flyer posted at Manu O ke Kai.

The registration will be at the Manu O Ke Kai halau (by Surf N Sea) between 0730 and 1000. The race will start at Sunset Beach. Sups start at 1100. OC1s, OC2s, and Surfskis start at 1110.

Will Manny and Nohealani keep their OC1 Championship Belts?
