I will be on Oahu Saturday April 10, for anyone interested in trying the Wainui canoe, or just talk story. I will be at Kaimana beach between 9:30 am and 2 pm. This will be on a first come first serve basis. Check our website www.kiakahacanoesandpaddles.com for general info and contact info. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
I saw that Jimmy and Manny did very well this past weekend on Maui, about 30 seconds between them two and a six minute gap for third place and then go and win the Oahu relay together today. Unreal!!
BTW... what was the conditions like on Maui for a race to be 2 hours and 30+ minutes for the winning time?
I lost an OC-1 in waters outside of black point. Please respond if you have any information on it's whereabouts. It's an older boat, white Waveblade with a patched up ama.
So im moving from Kona to Kauai in 3 weeks. I spent the last 36 hours there which were my first ever. The paddling community there is amazing. I have to thank Tom and Mary Bartlett for their incredible hospitality. Also got to paddle the last 2 legs of the Kauai World Challenge course and now I can't wait to do that race in May. Way less expensive than any channel crossing and plenty of open ocean water. Its literally like an island designed for 1 man paddling.
