New OC1?

The new Gemeinschaftspuctures on the Home Page sees everyone to wows? Someone underlined the new represented boat. Like this roto formed Kanu in Japan looks done. As it'd is seems the fun, to around to go the impact on. Although on the Wasserlinie a little short circuit, it'd a Schnäpper is to carry to and autotop side!

Wow, anyone see the new community puctures on the home page? Someone pointed out the new boat pictured. Looks like that roto molded canoe in Japan is done. Seems like it'd be fun to go bounce around on. Although somewhat short on the water line, it'd be a snap to carry and car top!

Surf and weathere pending for the Finish line. Otherwise as stated below

Long Course

Race start: 9:00 AM Waimanalo Beach Park

Long Course:

Part 1: Lamanz start; standing waist deep in the water. Go straight out to a marker approximately 1 km. off the beach, which will guide all canoes and kayaks around the reef at Shriner’s.

Part 3: All paddlers must round the blinker buoy. Then jungle rules through Maunaloa bay and around Diamond Head into Waikiki.

Part 4: Next mark will be a buoy just outside the surf line between Canoes and Pops (directly out from the Royal Hawaiian Hotel). Take a right turn around the buoy and the finish will be between a white stationary swim buoy just outside the groin (wall) at Kapahulu (outside Queen’s beach), and the groin itself. From the buoy off Waikiki to the finish is approximately 1/2 mile.

Karel Jr. In Men's Journal Magazine w/ other OCC paddlers

It's great to see top paddlers in a main stream magazine, like Men's Journal Magazine, May issue. I hope to see more "real" athletes, like Karel Jr and the other top paddlers in this sport, in more main stream magazines. Maybe we can this sport Outrigger Canoe racing to new levels like surfing. Larger sponsors, more International races, and our products sold to the masses, even larger purses for our larger races. Great pictures, even though they're selling other products other than paddling gear.

Great Job!

We need more our top paddlers out there.

Who knows, Karel Jr or Danny Ching can be the next Kelly Slater for our sport.

Goto a star???????

I was having a beer last nite and glanced over at the TV and thought I saw Goto paddling in an Aleve commercial. Assuming the Goto that I know is the same Goto on this forum, I'm wondering if this is the start of a new career in Hollywood for this paddler?
