A friend & I are coming to Hawaii for the Oahu Relay & Molokai Relay in May.
Luke has fixed us up a Pueo for Molo but where still after 2 Pueo's to rent from the 2nd May to the 8th May.
We both paddle 0C1 in Australia & do well in competition so where not complete kooks ( depending on who you speak to ).
The canoes will be well looked after & locked up in our house at Portlock.
This is a pretty big deal for both of us so where very keen to get a couple of canoe's sorted ASAP.

General question, Have some bigger guys that have come out to try OC-6 this.
Our club has a few days a week where a lot of us go out on our 0c1/Oc2.
We have some of the bigger guys that want to get on a OC1. Weight range from 200 to 250.
I saw a guy on the Scorpius that was 230 , however I was just told the bigger Scorpius model is not being built anymore.
We have Huki that is local to us and I know Jude can make a OC1 for bigger guys but wanted to gather other options.
Anything you guys can suggest would be helpful.

I often go out on my own in my OC1 and when I do I strap a spare paddle to my rear iako.

It occurred to me that this may actually cause some drag especially on a windy day. But I have never done GPS data analysis to try figure this out for sure.

What do you think? Have you noticed some drag or slower times on a familiar training course when you have a spare paddle along on your one person canoe?

I mostly steer at the Sr Masters level. Been paddling during the winter and doing work in the gym, mostly Pilates and yoga. First TT of the season was yesterday. I got the same finish time as last year! Ack! I am so disappointed!
I've been working on technique with a coach and feel more efficient when paddling but why no improvement in speed!?

I don't know what to do differently: more time on the water, more time in the gym, more OC1 workouts, higher stroke rate in TT... ????

We have a old Force Five that we still use for training. Looking for a canvas to replace our very old original canvas, but don't want to spend the big bucks to get a new one. I left my iakos at Kaimanas this passed Wednesday morning. I realized i had forgot them in the grass before I got home and turned around to get them and they were gone, so they were not sitting there for more than 20 min around 730 am. If anyone knows anything please give me a call. 8084309893

Any news on the owner of the older Blue and White OC-1 found floating just inside reef off Lanikai beach on Friday March 14? Canoe is damaged at rear iako insert and was left on beach. Ocean rescue was called and search for paddler but we haven't heard any news. Oc-1 is still in the beach.
