We have a DA KAI oc4 (kamanu model).
1- I am wondering if it is well rigged.
We have put the ama on the right and as far as possible from the hull.
What will happen if we reduce the distance between hull and ama?

2- the hull is hollow and has 2 little hole just unter the back seat and in front pf the front seat.
I suppose that these holes avoid the hull to crack because of the dilatation of the air when it's hot.
When we have caught some waves, sometimes, the canoe got full of water and some water enters inside the hull
through those holes.

Latest wind forecast shows possibility of getting some downwind on the original course from Makai Pier -- so we'll try it. To make things safe and simple there will be one course from Makai Pier to Kailua Beach Park -- Medium Course. Those who registered online for short course will start first and long course entrants will start 15 minutes after.

*** Registration and check in at Kailua Beach Park 7:30-9:00am. Starts 10:00 and 10:15

Lunch, awards, and after party featuring live music to follow at Pinky's Restaurant. Please join us even though we finish at Kailua beach Park.

With the canceling of the Olamau Race, the PA'A 'Eono race will be restored.. The course and format is still being decided on.
