I am going to purchase a Goodboy Kayak rack for my OC1 but am wondering if I should buy two. One for the canoe and one for the ama. The ama will not fit inside my jeep grand cherokee. The ama is 9' and the rack is 8'. Cliff at Goodboy has offered to cut off some of the V to make it a better fit and I suggested cutting the overall length to 4'. The distance between my roof bars is 3'. I would rather get a 2nd Goodboy than strap the ama to a padded bar. Any help?

Trying to source where to purchase the hull drain scupper (stainless steel, lever to open and close) used on the unlimited and the sailing canoes. Could not make out the manufacturer stamped on the flange. Help with source would be appreciated.

I’m, 215 and 6’1” and I’ll paddle on flat l water and want speed (first priority). But I’ll also get out in open ocean swell (Florida) and want something that can handle the bumps as well.

Pros and cons? All advice is appreciated!

I've had good luck with Sunbrella covers, when stored in open uncovered racks.

I have an under-eaves rack now, which isn't exposed to direct sunlight, and wonder if I should still use a cover?
