How to fasten an OC ?

Hello guys
I wonder if anyone has had the same issue :
I can't find anywhere on the hull to fasten an OC to its storage shelf.
It's a bit of a concern, as my OCs are stacked outside, in an easy to tresspass backyard.
With my V1, I can easily turn a secured steel line around the seat or around a iako support.

Thanks if you've got some tips to share.

Outrigger in Barcelona?

Anyone know of a club in Barcelona or anyone with OC-1 there? Moving there in a few weeks and would love to get back on the water. Thanks.

ITBS Knowledge in OC Paddling

Good Morning !
In the last couple of weeks we did a few hard training sessions in preparing for the first race of the season in Berlin. Especially we were focused on strong leg drive. Unfortunately it seems that this focusing on leg drive led me into another painful ITBS phase (Iliotibial Band Syndrome). Actually I got into paddling after leaving several other sports because of repetitive ITBS occurrences.
Does anyone of you know what aspects of OC Paddling Technique are prone to ITBS ? Are there any experiences of other paddlers with this awful ITBS ?

retrofiting a rudder

Hi there,
If someone knows the "allwave" outrigger brand (it's italian) :
I want to paddle on shallow rivers with my oracle duo. The standard rudder is 28 cm long.
They don't seem to make "special rudders", so I guess I need to retrofit an existing one from another brand, or even a surfski one without changing the yoke (I still want my standard rudder when at sea).

I could just buy another standard one and cut it in half, but I confess slaughtering a perfectly smooth working and brand new carbon rudder pains me a lot, not to mention the cost.
Any ideas ?

OC6 security

Hi,
I'd like to learn from your experience on OC6 safety issues.
I mean : On this forum, there's a lot of very skilled paddlers, going on rough seas, and I'm willing to understand.
When paddling OC6, did you ever run in some major safety issue while capsizing ? Like total OC flooding ? Impossibility to tow the boat or just bail out ?
rigging breaking ?
In my tiny experience, the amount of buoyancy in the bow, stern and ama was enough to secure the boat and crew.
Anyway, do skilled crews ever capsize at all ? :-)
