I am going to purchase a Goodboy Kayak rack for my OC1 but am wondering if I should buy two. One for the canoe and one for the ama. The ama will not fit inside my jeep grand cherokee. The ama is 9' and the rack is 8'. Cliff at Goodboy has offered to cut off some of the V to make it a better fit and I suggested cutting the overall length to 4'. The distance between my roof bars is 3'. I would rather get a 2nd Goodboy than strap the ama to a padded bar. Any help?

I know there's no one size fits all but would like to know about the general strategy of paddlers with choosing paddle blade sizes. I currently use a Viper Va'a FSN double bend with a 9.65" blade and feels like it might be too big for an OC-1. I get a lot more resistance per stroke which is great but finding it hard to keep up an aggressive spm. Do most paddlers with the larger Viper blade (or any other larger type of blades) use it for OC-6 with a smaller blade for OC-1? Curious what the thoughts are on this topic. Apologies if this has been posted.

We are husband and wife OC-6 paddlers with 2+ yeras experience looking for an OC-2 for recreation vs. racing. We are in our 60's and climbing back in after a huli is getting harder and harder. So stability will be part of our decision process in selecting a canoe.

Does anyone have any thoughts on which OC-2's are the most stable? We are looking at the Tempest and the Huki V2-X, but are open to all suggestions.
