Had a chance to talk story with Manutea who was rumored to be steering Shell this year. Not! Non-committal about where he might be on race day.

Gist of his talk about the race was that as we heard, all the heavyweights will be racing including OPT A & B, Shell, EDT , Paddling Connection and Bora-Bora. Sounded like he favored OPT altho said Shell has a "special" canoe.

All the makings of a great race, and Team Primo definitely has their work cut out.

I am new to canoeing and would like help in all aspects....if you have any thing that might be helpful I'd love to hear it. I am also particulary interested in the 23rd Law Enforcement/Fire Canoe Regatta....times, dates, any info and where to find it. If any one has any info on this subject I would greatly appreciate any knowlege that you have. Thanks in advance....

Looking for shuttle service from Kaunakakai to the race site early Sunday morning for 11 people. We currently have rental cars, but don’t have a way to return them on race day. Any contact info for charter services or ideas for getting there would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any central place to find out about the off-season OC-6 races in Hawai`i? We have a lot of people who don't do long distance, but are game for the shorter five to ten mile 'fun' races. We find out about 'em word of mouth, but it would be nice if we could actually plan ahead!

(So we're in for the Wounded Warrior race, and I think a crew is doing Master Blaster, but I know there are more out there that I can't find ... )

So we will call him M. M looks through PP (Pacific Paddler) looking for advertisers (A) to go after. M then makes a full page ad without asking (A) and surprises (A) with a FREE full page ad in M's magazine.
"I didn't know he did that!" says a thankful (A) to PP.
Now another (A) tells PP, M said he would do their Molokai program for nothing. "How could I refuse?," said the other (A). The (A)s are happy. They previously ran ads in PP and now gets them free from M. (A) decides not to continue supporting PP. Everyone is happy with M. Why can't PP do the same?
