If I Only Had a Chine

If We All Only Had a Chine
*
*

I would watch their bikinis,
conferrin' with wahines
Waitin' for a sign.
*

And my head I'd be scratchin' while
my thoughts were busy hatchin'
How to buy a boat with chine.
*

I'd could surf every wave,
And the gals they would rave,
and life would be so benign.
*

See, on the waves we'd be smokin'
as we skimmed by Hoboken
If we all had a chine.
*

Oh, I could tell you why
The ocean's near the shore.
You could think of things you never thunk before.
And then you'd paddle, and paddle some more.
*

You would not be just a nothin'
your head all full of stuffin'
If your boat had a chine.
*

You would no more be a-pearlin',
A huli-in' and a-whirlin'
If you only had a chine.

With apologies to anyone from Oz.

Can anyone tell me the legal age that paddlers must be to compete in the Epic Molokai Ski Race in May 2009? Is it 16 years or 18 years ? Any replies much appreciated.

GoPro Wide Cam angles Test Video for Karel Jr Shoot

These are the GoPro Wide Camera angles I've selected for the Karel Jr shoot in Perth World Cup in Western Australia on the 17th Jan 2009. I'll also be shooting Hi Def from a Jet Ski.

I think these are excellent angles. What do you think?
I will also be shooting Hi Def from a Jet Ski.

See short video here

This should be of interest to any one with a GoPro Wide or thinking of upgrading to one.

Cheers Rambo

Cold and Dark

So, as Luke has said, its cold and dark. But when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Apologies for the amateur video, its my first try.

DUDES! I am super super overwhelmingly beside myself stoked that Mahatfart is back! I really really totally missed him and his art/photography with no connection to paddling whatsoever. I am so excited! And just in time for the holiday season! Join me in welcoming him back to this forum folks! YES!!

I had the pleasure to meet the film maker Jon Craig Cloutier who documented Ned Ackermans project from start to finish. A small local film was made about this I believe is was called Coaster the Journey of the Jonathan F Leavitt...but i can not find a record of this film in http://imdb.com but I saw the film at its unveiling at Portland Maine City Hall in 1981
