Yoga and stretching

It is said that yoga and stretching is very important in surfing. I was wondering how much of a positive factor the two would be for paddling. Would it make a major difference, and if so, which part of the body should you focus on stretching?

2008 Hamilton Island 42k c/o race Video

This is from the DVD of the race that i shot entirely with unmanned Gopro cameras with delay timers. The footage follows the race of 3 of the top crews .... NorthCliffe Open (the eventual winner) ......... Outrigger Australia Open (2nd) .............. and Mooloolaba Masters (1st Masters, 5th overall) who i paddled with.

Many changeovers are featured and techniques of the great steerers.

You will probably recognise some of the names like Danny Sheard, Pete Dorries, Travis Grant, Mike Mills -Thom etc. who have all competed and won either open or masters at the Molo Hoe.

A larger and better quality version will be upload later, this one up now is 20 mins long and a 60mb download. The video is highly compressed to limit download size. The original is HQ.

Hope you enjoy it. http://blip.tv/file/1551887

Quick GPS revisit

Some of you guys seem like you know the various functions of the GPS/HR units pretty well. I'm between the Garmin 301 (similar in size to my present 201), or the 305. What's the difference besides the size of the unit/display? I'd be using the unit in my boat as well as on a bike. I've got to let the wife know which one I want by this week. Pros/cons. Thanks.

LOST SPRAY COVER

So its a little late, but the Quicksilver team asked me to see if anyone has seen a blue and red spray cover that has been missing since Molokai Hoe. The cover was in a red bag that said IMUA and it was sitting in the Lanakila boat after the race and was gone when they went back to pack things up. If ANYONE has seen it or knows any information about it PM me.

These things are expensive and will cost money for the team to replace.
