hello, i am building an outrigger in the uk. i am based in london. is anyone else wanting to build an outrigger canoe in the uk?

i am working from gary dierking plans and glen l plans and may even combine them.

perhaps we could start a home build outrigger club and plan to race or just go out for leisure along some of the rivers for a great day out.

paddleing or sailing outriggers and perhaps an outboard on the way home, or is that cheating?

Where does the Hurricane have its center of bouyancy compared to its center of gravity ?

I am making some repairs and would like to know.

Can anybody share paddling experience in the Hurricane with the rudder moved forward from its original position;
I have heard that it has been done, but I have not heard much feed back how it worked out.

since stabilizing the core is also fundamental in paddling, i'm curious if any programs have incorporated any breathing technique in their training. same concept in martial arts, and even lamaze, i'm guessing. i guess if it works for women in labor, it should work for a workout...

I think there is some new believers in some new boats ? Bradley vs Mirage , Mirage vs new Mirage you get it lets here what you guys think . Outrigger was a big suprise especially with there "exclusive" Mirage all modified and feared leading up to the race . Mean while Team NZ plays" step child "card to Outrigger and shows vast improvement in there brand new Lightning by stealing 3rd place ahead of the feared men of Outrigger . Was that fueled by not getting a "new" Mirage after being long time Outrigger Connection team guys or ? was the Lightning faster ? What was going through Karrel Sr.'s mind when Team NZ established a huge gap upon arrival to Moanalua Bay ? "Dammit !! those boys should be in my boat !! " thats my guess . Does Team NZ have a new sponser ? Very interesting ...LOL Who was the first Mirage Or does any body care ??
