OC6 Seat Padding

Anyone have a source (preferably mainland) for the blue foam used to pad OC6 seats and what is the proper name for it?

Margo nearly gets run over by president Bush senior

Margo had a near miss yesterday in Kenebunkport , Maine when president Bush Sr. nearly ran over her and her Fuze by accident.

Gorge

A great weekend of paddling, fun... the usual.
Meg, JD and all did a fantastic job.
"Good" conditions, great racing and wonderful people.
Thanks everyone!
Special maholo to Kikaha O Ke Kai for lending us one of their boats. You rule.

Training footage

Hi all,

I am looking for some gym training footage from Hawaiian TV (think). It shows some guys training on a swiss ball doing one arm rows and pull downs?

I thought it was from this site but I cant recall.

Huki S1-R

I'm thinking of purchsing a Huki SR-1. I have paddled a Fenn Mako XT and I'm curious to hear opinions about the two boats. I live in Jacksonville, FL. and unfortunatly there are very few Huki Surf ski's here. Thanks Dave.

Any ex-surf-ski paddlers here? Question.

Which boat and paddling technique is more difficult to master in general, and also for typical Hawaii tradewind conditions (upwind, downwind, sidewind)?

Gibson's Results?

Anybody know the results for the Gibson's race in Vancouver this past weekend? Or have a link to the results?

Thanks.

Curious....

Do you yell "Whee!" when you huli? I yell "Whee!" when I huli. If you yell "Whee!" when you huli, everyone thinks you did it intentionally.

Whee! (I just fell off my chair).

Special Thread for Psychos-Caution

SPECIAL THREAD for Nut Cases and Psychos

CAUTION: Don’t read if you are easily offended, can’t handle satire (comedy), can’t laugh at your own faults, don’t like authentic feedback, are under 18, and/or have anger issues.

I was thinking just like schools, hospitals, and life, we have that special place for all of the crazy people. So a forum like OC Paddler should have a thread/place for all of those people as well (I will include myself in the crazy category) It will solve a lot of problems. Normal, sane people can post on other threads-Angry, crazy people can post here. I imagine this thread will be real long, since if you are writing, typing and reading on the computer rather than paddling in the Summer, you are probably crazy. However with all of the great medication and drugs out there, there are less crazy people these days-Right!

I will start it off-

Since I have seen so many crazy posters/forum writers on OC Paddler in the past as examples, I know how to start. I will put my self down and then blast away-

Kona J-I am a sucky paddler. I suck. You are probably better than me. I have paddled Molokai, but you have probably beaten me and laughed in my face. I am not funny and also am much uglier than you. I love you. I worship your paddling. Love, Kona J. That should do it. Now I can blast away like crazy person and all will be forgiven

CRAZY BLAST 1-

What is up with dolphins? They just get in the way of paddling. They try to steal my wave and line when I am paddling. They suck. We should not have dolphins or whales in the way during OC races. I suggest a harmful sound/beacon be used before the start of races to clear them out of the way. Or a better idea would be to have gill-net fisherman-they rock-come in and scoop up all wild-life prior to any races. Also, why do we have Hawaiian Monk seals anyway?

CRAZY BLAST 2-

I sell and rep OC-1 canoes. All the canoe designs/styles I rep are perfect. All current designs are perfect for any paddler and all upcoming designs are perfect for any paddler. There are never any flaws or problems. I will post pictures everywhere until you are sick of them.

Aloha! Nut Cases and Psychos-Come out of the closest and into the light. There is a place for you. Post here and blast away.

in Sydney in Sept

I'm going to be at the dragonboat races in mid sept.
I'm going to stay a few extra days and was wondering if there might be a chance to paddle an outrigger during this time...
Any suggestions or leads?
