I have a question for all the Pahoa owners out there.
How does it perform in flat and rough waters. Also how comfortable is it?( this one may be a bit subjective)
I have owned a Makia in the past and the foot wells felt a bit narrow.
Any kind of input is appreciated.

Aloha! After viewing the results of the past OC oneman canoe racing results on OC Paddler and Y2Kanu, it has been quite evident that Kai Bartlett has proven himself as the best OC paddler in the State of Hawai'i. He has shown his winning ways on Kaua'i, O'ahu, Maui and the Big Island from flat conditions to big bumps. I know that there are many of us that do well in either flat or big bump conditions, but alot of us cannot do well in both conditions. It goes to show his ability of OC1 paddling and the love for the sport. I know winning isn't everything, but it sure feels good to know that what you do for prepartion sure pays off. SHAKA to Kai in his accomplishments and of course to his new family
( wife who has beaten alot of GUYS and their new baby ). Great genes!!

Also, SHAKA to everyone else who does the sport for their own personal reasons either to compete or participate. Enjoy and don't be last!!

recently bought a fuze seems tippy in rough conditions i wonder if anyone had same experience.....did it get better ?

I was curious about the Keanae to Kahalui Harbor race on April 22. I was wondering if anyone here could give me a little information about this run. I have been told that it is about 23-24 miles but that's all i know. What is the predominate wind direction? From what I can tell by looking at a map of Maui if the wind direction is NE it would be coming over your right shoulder. If someone could give me some information on this run it would be greatly appreciated. It looks challenging and fun.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a first race in Hawaii? I am currently racing in California. Thanks :)

I'm a new paddler and just joined about 4 months ago and now very addicted to the sport. Its my new found passion and myself and my team are currently training for an upcoming regatta. With the exception of one member my entire team are all new. Just wondering for those of you that have been in the sport long, if you could give suggestions to how we can further improve our team not only physically, mentally but most importantly financially. We are trying to fundraise for the regatta and any ideas on some fun and easy fundraisers would be much appreciated.

Hey guys come out and race on saturday the 25th to help out the hawaiian immersion preschool. It's only 25 bucks, the race is from Hawaii Kai to Kaimana beach the winds are suppose to be good. registration is at 8 in Hawaii Kai.

On suday Febuary 26th from 5pm to 10pm there is a Hui Lanakila fundraiser at Ocean club. There will be a band and Dj playing. Come have fun.

i have 2 favorites my favorite would have to be danny ching beacuse he croosed the channel in a pink boat that takes some guts. my second person would have to be pat dolan beacuse he is so young and that gives me a motavation because im on 14 going on 15.

well my opinion on the best boat is the pahoa made by tiger and my second choice would have to be the hokule`a made by steve blyth
