Hi all, my name is Eric and I am in Tampa, FL. I am seriously contemplating the purchase of an OC-1 and, if so, hope to become an active member of your community. I have spent the last couple of weeks watching You Tube videos and reading everything I can regarding the OC. I am a fitness nut and water junkie so the OC should feed both of those desires. My SUP time has made me less and less interested in being trapped inside my sea kayak which is a freakin shame as I JUST spent $2700 on a beautiful new QCC kayak that is fast and stable.

Just got the breakdown for the prize money in the men's OC1 division for The Doctor Race on 22nd Jan 2011 in Perth Western Australia

Thanks to WAZA and Ocean Paddler the total prize pool is $3,000 to be distributed as:

1st $1,500
2nd $1,000
3rd $500

That's some serious cash!!!!

Lost 1 kialoa Axel 2 with Patagonia stickers in the front and back this week when letting one of the kids I coach borrow it for their practice.

no longer having a paddle I borrowed my friends bent Kia kaha paddle w black and grey stripes on the blade.

I left that paddle in the back of my truck for 5 minutes right at the end of practice, in front of the Kailua halau. Came back and it was gone.

I don't know where my paddles are going, I've posted notices on the kcc billboard but have not gotten any leads.

My name is Bradah Mel Puu. I'm a Surfer, Canoe Paddler, and a Lifeguard for the City & County of Honolulu since 1982. For the past five years I have held a surfing event at Makaha Beach as a fundraiser for a friend of mine Mr. Leighton Look, who was paralyzed in a diving accident. Sadly he passed away on September 25th 2008. It has now turned in to a memorial event for Leighton, and it is my hope to keep his legacy and his kind nature alive in our hearts and minds.

Exact location to be determined 4 days before the Fun Run and will be based on forecasted weather conditions. The Ocean Playground Shuttle has been reserved. Shuttle will meet us @ 9 am to load up at chosen finishing point then drop us off at the start.

HVA is pre paying to reserve the shuttle but each paddler must bring pay their own shuttle fare of $10. Paddlers are required to make arrangements for their own canoe as HVA will not be providing canoes. The shuttle is able to hold 17 canoes/paddlers and is first come first served. After that paddlers will have to set up their own rides.

Them flying fish are getting closer and closer, especially the stickfish. Anybody get stabbed by them? Trust me, this is no joke, for I hear some get poked and had to go emergency. Perhaps pog can make one Kevlar shield for wear on my pfd?
