Yes you read right, a Mirage OC6 that folds in two! Peter and I hope that this could be one solution to the trailer legality issues facing clubs here in Australia. For more photos and details visit the Outrigger Connection AUS website
My brother forgot his Mana Blade paddle at the Kailua canoe Halau. The back of the blade is silver with a hawaiian flag/wave design. He left it near the Halau after the HVA practice. If anyone finds it can you please call Kekoa @542-9529.....oh yeah he has a Scorpious for sale too if you like....
One thing that has always confused me about club paddling is regatta season vs distance season. The first year I paddled, our Novice B crew did all the regatta races and all the distance races Maui had to offer. The confusing part was joining the club you paid dues and were able to race....regattas! When it came to distance each crew paid its own way. I believe alot of clubs in Hawaii put way too much emphasis on the regatta season and distance is kind of an after thought, or for the "hard-core" paddlers.
I recently cut my paddle down an inch, bored out the t-top and used wood glue to reattach it to the shaft. Didn't hold very well and it loosened. Any suggestions on what else to reattach it with?
As you may or may not know i've been filming the LG - Bing Lee Surfski Series in Sydney NSW over the past couple of Months and it's been a real buzz to be part of this exciting racing, so much to learn from these guys.
