I lost a pair of 'iakos at the Magic Island site (near the canoes) right by the shower after the Kanaka Ikaika race this Saturday, March 21. If anyone picked them up or knows of anyone that may have picked them up, please call me at 753-6354. Canoe can't run without them. Mahalo much!

HI Everybody,

Lost my paddle today by the shower at the Kailua boat ramp. It is a all wood Scorpion with a silver Oakley "O" on the back side of the blade. Approx. 53 1/2 inches long. Am only here in Hawaii for another week before I go back home to Toronto so if you found it or come across someone who did please let me know asap. You can let me know here, or let Aaron Napoleon or Katie Slocumb know and they will get word to me.

The "Goss" is, this years Surf Ski Molokai Solo will not require individual support boats. The race organizer is reported to be supplying one escort boat per 5-7 contestants. There is a requirement to carry additional safety equipment. and for all paddlers to pass a half way check point.

I wonder whether this will increase the race numbers?

Has anyone demoed the Osprey and if so…could you please give
us your general impression of the boat and maybe a little bit about
your experience in comparison with other boats?

I’m gonna put down some money on a new boat and the Pueo and
Scorpius are the two i’m looking at right now. The Osprey is interesting
though.

The race around Hong Kong Island is confirmed for Sunday 22nd November 2009.

This is an OC6 42km change race around the world famous Hong Kong Island which includes passage through the magnificent Victoria Harbour. As part of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Clubs annual sailing regatta, Outrigger Canoes and Ocean Rowing Quads battle it out as part of this magnificent event.

Hawaii Supreme Court decided that the Super Ferry has to stop operation. They're doing one more run on Thursday so people can get their vehicles back home.
