P.A.A Koa Nui Thoughts?

Who is showing up? Who is on fire?

In previous races this year-it looks like Mael, Kai, Danny, and others are on fire. Anyone have any ideas? Does Jr. make an appearance?

The Ultimate Winter Paddling Vehicle!

(I'm trying to come to grips with having bought a mini-van)

Our lake is still frozen, so I thought this would be the perfect way to get a workout in while commuting. Those are two fully rigged paddling machines in the back. My wife and I could just get on to the paddling machines whenever we're stuck in traffic. "This red light looks like it's going to be a long one, how's about a 500 m sprint?"

And careful with the mean-spirited comments. That's my wife (and my Odyssey) you're dissing!

Hawaiian made Fuze

I paddled a Fuze today and was totally surprised. Going out was into the wind, against the swell, and against a rising tide. So on the way back had all 3 in my favor. That thing is amazing. I might venture so far as to say better than my Zephyr - might. Curious to hear feedback from guys on Oahu doing downhill runs with a nice and light model made in Hawaii. The one I paddled was made in China and is pretty heavy. Going up wind it felt like a pig but when I turned around I never would have imagined that it would handle the bumps so well. Im 5'9, 155 and I know my Zephyr is a bit big for me but its lighter than the Fuze I paddled so I know its not the weight but the hull design and maybe even the shorter length that made the difference. Thanks for any response.

Outer Island races

Anyone else doing an outer island race for the first time this year? If so how are you prepping? Doing Maui to Molo and the Kaiwi relay here. Or maybe if you did them for the first time last year what did you feel you fell short on the most other than experience? Nutrition, hydration, training, etc.

Paddle Length

Is it better to use a longer paddle or a shorter paddle on the OC-1?

Thanks!
