Does anyone know if the course will change? The winds being what they have been will make it tricky getting across Waimanalo and around Maks.

Can anyone tell me who the major V1 producers are on the market? I only know of maoliwaa, are there any others out there? if you wanna go V1 should you look towards tahiti? or are tiger and hawaiian built V1's equivalent? sorry about all the questions.

The Kanaka Ikaika website shows the race will be on Sunday May 3rd, but Y2KANU says May 4th and so does the link that you can go to through y2kanu to the race homepage.

Does anyone know the for sure date?

There are still a few paddlers seeking parnters. A few in particular are strong oc1 women, oc2 women or mixed. One female has Naia Iki, Hurricane or Stingray oc2- other has Vantage or Hurricane. Flights are cheap...no escort needed....makes a it little easier on the pocketbook. Still one of the most beautiful and fun coastal relays. There will be a trailer at Kaimana Beach at the end of the State races this Sunday. There is room for more canoes coming to the Kauai relay. Shipping to Kauai on this trailer will be free.
