I have been paddling the past couple of years... I have been getting really sore/stiff forearms to the point where it is very hard to hold on too my paddle. It starts within 10 minutes of paddling. Today I had a TT and was was moving pretty good... but then about the 10 minute mark my forearms got so stiff and sore it was so hard to pull and grip my paddle.

Has anyone experienced this? What did you do to get rid of it? I was told to drink a sugary drink about 15 minutes before a hard race or paddle.

Any help or ideas would be great!

I'm planning a va'a trip to Tahiti (with a little bit of surf trip) around July-August this year. I've already contacted different sources such as VaaTahiti.com, Kanu Culture, etc. but so far the feedback has been a little evasive.

I basically would like to paddle with both V1's and V6's, preferably with good clubs (like Pirae, OPT, etc.). Obviously these clubs have different training regimes for different teams, but as long as I can improve my technique and experience the sport in Tahiti would be awesome. As long as it is an affordable price, I'm willing to pay for taining sessions...

A while ago in this website I saw a topic where somebody mentioned that Jean-Luc Eychenne (former Super Aito champion) from Maitarea Hoe is setting up a va'a camp at his house in Huahine. If possible, I'd like to spend a week in Huahine and another one in Tahiti, paddling as much as I could.

If anyone could help me with contacts in Tahiti where I can start planning the trip (including costs), it'd be much appreciatted.

Are you ready to receive a $250 weekly stimulus for the next 5-6 weeks starting as soon as coming monday. Here is how it works. I will be on Oahu to paint the movie sets for a small feature (indie-romantic-comedy). Small means I have to come up with my own housing. I'm willing to stimulate your wallet if you have a room to rent. My workdays start glamorously before dawn and usually end by 6-7pm six days a week. All I need is a room to sleep, a shower to clean up and about 7-12 ice cubes for my evening cocktail. We will be based at the studios by Diamond Head, so anything in that area or windward side all the way to Kaneohe would be perfect.
As a bonus I can regale you with stories about Hollywood film making or other irrelevant matters :)
