Wheres Poo?

I'd like to file a missing persons report with the OCP Mafia.
OMG, maybe the Mafia finally got him for his old avatar.
Let Poo go you barbarians!!!!!!!!

Who` s coming to my race?

Im looking for a head count . The sooner I get it the better I can make sure the prize table is loaded with goodies appropriately. Epic has come on board as a major sponsor and for that , Im truely gratefull .
This race is for a worthy cause too , helps out kids with 5P Minus syndrome . Google it if you dont know what it is.
You reps , manufacturers , individuals and dealers have an opportunity here to help out .So , don
t be affraid to be generous and help to spread a little aloha around on the east coast .

Let me know if you`re coming .

off season paddling

For those of you are mainly paddle 1 man year round, how much less do you train/paddle outside of 1 man season? Do you cut out the distance runs? Not paddle as far or fast? Just curious. Ive taken about a month off of paddle at all and am about to start back and am curious what more experienced people do in their off season. Thanks

Make it official

The dicussion will go on for ever, so why don't the Molo Solo organizers seek feedback from the paddling bodies, from all the other countries afilliated to the sprints.
Ask for their support. Deal with any issues and get it sorted. The Molo is the one... that most dreamed about. Molo organizers (you are the bomb) Get invites out...and they may even come...and support the title.
I can not see many if any, of the paddling countries having an issue with the world championship title. Majority rules.
Heck, even without the world "Title"
The Molo Solo winner has more of an impression on paddlers than marathon world champion solo paddler.

World Points Circuit

Would any paddlers be keen in racing in a world series circuit? Each race accumulates points (based on your time and ruddered or rudderless division) and the winner is crowned 'World Series Champion'.

Say a race in Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Canada?, Brazil? Race organisers race agree to a points system, ie fastest cumulative time (ie add up your time to get a fastest time overall - will obviously benefit downwind surf skilled paddlers as you cant make up as much time in flats or headwind as you can in downwind surfing).

Obviously easier to raise sponsorship as an athlete, team or race organiser if you can say you are part of a world circuit (greater brand coverage, etc).

Was wondering what some general ideas/concerns are.

storage close to the water

I paddle in long beach and san pedro areas - wondering if there is a place to store a surf ski next to the water in either of those areas?

Thanks,

1st annual Race for the Reef

At Epic's Surfski championship race Sunday, the MC announced the "race for the reef" on the following Sunday (May 25th) with OC-1/2, surfski, paddleboard, etc. divisions. Googled it and found this;

I know nothing about the International Year of the Reef beyond their website, but this sounds like it could be a good cause and an excellent excuse for a run. Anyone have a heads up on this? Planning on going?
Mahalo!
