Catching a ride

I was wondering what is the best way to catch a ride off the wake of of an motorboat that is coming up on your stern quarter?
Would you do anything different if the boat was overtaking on the Ama side or non Ama side to meet the wake?
Just trying to figure out how my canoe should be idealy pointing once I am inside the vee . I guess I should get up as much speed before the wake reaches. Summer is here lots more of boat traffic.
Thanks.

sticker removal

any suggestions on removing stickers from a one man. what to use and what not as far as getting rid of the stickiness without damaging the boat or paint. thanks

OC6 Seating Responsibilities

We all know, in being part of an OC6 team, each seating position in the canoe requires spacific skills. To be a successful, (winning) OC6 team requires 6 individuals utilizing these skills working towards a common goal. I think it's safe to say we've all been part of a 6 man team where everyone is performing at their best and the canoe glides effortlessly through the water. I know, we've all experienced a time when just one person in the canoe wasn't paddleing as well as they should and how it effected the whole canoe.

Alternative to drug testing

My interest in alternatives to drug testing was sparked this morning from the thread on Vitamin supplements and after reading the abstract of a study on pubmed.gov titled: Total hemoglobin mass--a new parameter to detect blood doping? I'm not sure what the complete text states, but to my understanding it is saying that it's possible to detect if someone is blood doping (either EPO or blood transfusions) by testing the variation in their total hemoglobin mass. A change of less than 6% can be explained by natural variations in training, but a change of over 10% is artificial.

It broke! (ocp downtime)

Sorry about the downtime all day today (Monday). Turns out the hard drive of the server filled up. Things don't work with a full hard drive, so it broke. Should be all working now.

By accident, I may have deleted anything that happened since the middle of last night to now. I think there was a post about the newspaper: "Will Anyone Fill the Advertiser Void?" was the title. Sorry about that.
